About Removable Dentures
Patients may loose their teeth because of decay, bacteria, or periodontal disease, but custom dentures can replace the smile to a natural appearance. Dentures can be tailored for the entire mouth, or just a part of the mouth, known as partial dentures. This dental apparatus, whether full or partial allow patients to regain a natural appearance and full function of the teeth. Dentures allow patients to eat, speak, and drink normally. Because this type of denture is not anchored, these dentures can be placed for the upper and lower both, and can be removed as necessary. Our dentists at West Valley Family Dental in Glendale, AZ use qualified dental labs to create all of our custom dentures, using only the highest materials so they look and feel normal.
"I've been going to West Valley Family Dentist since 2016. The staff is always very helpful with explaining procedures and billing and very friendly. I recently had to go back for a deep cleaning and a filling. The hygienist was very good at explaining what she was doing step by step which helped with my anxiety and was patient and gentle with me. I then saw Dr. Rael and her assistant Marni for my filling and they were on top of everything from making sure I was comfortable during the procedure explaining what to expect to calling the oral surgeon to coordinate what needed to be done further which was a relief to know I was in good hands and felt they actually cared about my concerns! Thank you West Valley Family Dental for making my dentist trip smooth!"- K.B. / Yelp / Jun 06, 2019

"The staff was very kind, welcoming, and professional. My dental hygienist took the time to not only tell me how my gums and teeth were doing but offer solutions that I can do at home to help improve those areas. I highly recommend this place."- P.Z. / Google / May 30, 2019

What to Expect
The procedure to receive dentures begins with the dentist at West Valley Family Dental preparing the patient's mouth to be ready, which may include a thorough exam, cleaning, and possible extractions. Once the mouth is ready, digital X-rays and physical impressions will be taken and submitted to our dental lab so that the custom dentures can be produced. During the time the real dentures are being made, our dentists will give the patient short-term dentures to use. As soon as the new dentures arrive our dentists will fit them to the patient's teeth for a long-term fit.
Dentures require special care instructions to keep them in good condition. Our team of dental assistants at West Valley Family Dental will provide these instructions when the patient gets their dentures. If maintained, removable dentures can last for at least a decade. Our dentists advise patients to get yearly examinations to ensure that the wear and tear of the dentures are good.
Commonly, dental insurance pays for dentures. The amount covered depends on the patient's benefits policy, but our billing staff at West Valley Family Dental will contact the patient's insurance company to gain an understanding their expenses. Please contact West Valley Family Dental in Glendale, AZ to learn more about our financing in the event insurance does not apply.
